What's covered?
We've simplified travel insurance with our bundled Explorer Plan that you can build upon with extra coverage. This way, you only pay for the coverage you need on the days you actually need it.
France is a popular destination for Australians. With its iconic landmarks, fabulous antique markets and heavy-on-the-butter cuisine, France continues to be the most visited country in the world – and for excellent reason. But even when you’re munching on croissants under the Eiffel Tower, the unexpected can occur – which is why it’s a good idea to consider getting travel insurance. We can help with that.

We've simplified travel insurance with our bundled Explorer Plan that you can build upon with extra coverage. This way, you only pay for the coverage you need on the days you actually need it.

We provide a benefit that includes coverage for overseas medical and hospital expenses. And, if things go really wrong, we can help with emergency repatriation or evacuation to bring you home. Coverage for these costs are subject to claim approval.
Only applies to Overseas Explorer Plan.

If you need to amend, delay or cancel your trip, we can help smooth out bumps in your travel plans. You can even increase your cancellation coverage in increments of $1,000 by paying additional premiums.

We offer benefits that can provide coverage to help fund the replacement or reimbursement of delayed, lost, stolen or damaged luggage. You can also increase the single-item limit for portable electronic gadgets, and ramp up your coverage for other specified items you won't travel without.
Build on your Explorer Plan by adding Trip Extras to get greater protection for your personal belongings, and enhanced delay and cancellation coverage. You can also add Daily Boosts on-the-go to get cover for activities, from motorbike riding to adventure sports.

Our Explorer Plan includes cover for loss, theft or damage to your luggage, as well as lost or stolen money up to the value of $600 AUD.
In many parts of Europe, travellers can get pickpocketed, robbed or mugged. It’s not a great experience but the Freely team can help you 24-hours a day if it happens to you (via the Freely app or by calling our emergency assistance number).
If your things are stolen, you need to report it to Freely (and the local authorities wherever you are) as soon as possible (within seven days). A copy of the relevant report needs to be submitted when you make a claim. As always, we will carefully review your claim to see if it qualifies for cover and meets the terms and conditions of your policy.

You need to add our Snow Sports Boost at an additional cost to the base policy for all the days you're on the snow in order to be covered. (Our Explorer Plan alone does not automatically cover snow sports.)
Once you’ve added and paid for our Snow Sports Boost, Freely offers cover both on and off-piste, as long as you adhere to local advice and warnings. Additionally, we offer cover for heli-skiing and boarding when you're part of a guided tour with a licensed operator.
The best part? You only have to add our Snow Sports Boost on the days you're skiing or snowboarding, meaning you only pay for the extra premium on the days you actually need it.
