What's covered?
We've simplified travel insurance with our bundled Explorer Plan that you can build upon with extra coverage. This way, you only pay for the coverage you need on the days you actually need it.
Germany is a popular destination for Australians. Home to fairytale castles, the breathtaking Bavarian alps and festive beer halls, Germany is a hearty holiday destination no matter the season. Whether you’re planning on soaking up the famous Christmas markets or embracing hedonism in Berlin, it’s a good idea to consider taking out travel insurance. We can help with that.

We've simplified travel insurance with our bundled Explorer Plan that you can build upon with extra coverage. This way, you only pay for the coverage you need on the days you actually need it.

We provide a benefit that includes coverage for overseas medical and hospital expenses. And, if things go really wrong, we can help with emergency repatriation or evacuation to bring you home. Coverage for these costs are subject to claim approval.
Only applies to Overseas Explorer Plan.

If you need to amend, delay or cancel your trip, we can help smooth out bumps in your travel plans. You can even increase your cancellation coverage in increments of $1,000 by paying additional premiums.

We offer benefits that can provide coverage to help fund the replacement or reimbursement of delayed, lost, stolen or damaged luggage. You can also increase the single-item limit for portable electronic gadgets, and ramp up your coverage for other specified items you won't travel without.
Build on your Explorer Plan by adding Trip Extras to get greater protection for your personal belongings, and enhanced delay and cancellation coverage. You can also add Daily Boosts on-the-go to get cover for activities, from motorbike riding to adventure sports.

Yes, our Rental Vehicle Insurance Excess Boost may provide protection against some hefty excess bills if your rental vehicle is in an accident, gets stolen or is vandalised. To be eligible for cover, you need to add this Boost to your base policy at an additional cost for all the days you are renting the vehicle.
The Boost works like this: when you hire a rental vehicle, you must take out comprehensive insurance on the rental vehicle with the rental company – and you must be the nominated driver.
If the rental vehicle is damaged or stolen while in your control (for the days you have our Rental Vehicle Insurance Excess Boost toggled-on), we may pay the lower of the rental vehicle insurance excess or the repair costs to the rental vehicle that you become liable to pay.
Terms and conditions apply. For more detail, be sure to read the PDS.
Yes, our Explorer Plan includes cover for luggage that is lost or damaged by your transport provider as a benefit. We may reimburse you for the cost of your bag and its contents (limits apply and depreciation may apply).
You can purchase additional coverage for your belongings with our Gadget Trip Extra and Specified Items Trip Extra.
All cases of loss need to be reported to the transport provider (whether that’s an airline, bus company, train service or similar) as soon as possible (within seven days).
You’ll need to then submit a copy of the relevant report to us when you make a claim. For more detail, be sure to read the PDS.
