MAKING WAVES TOGETHER

Join us this September!

The annual Make A Wave Challenge invites people around the world to surf (or get in the ocean) every day in September to fundraise for SurfAid, a global not-for-profit organisation working with remote communities in Indonesia and the Pacific to access healthcare, clean water and food security.

This year, we’re inviting everyone to join us in the challenge and support SurfAid’s life-changing work!

Access to healthcare

SurfAid trains community health volunteers and mothers on healthy behaviours.

Water and sanitation

SurfAid works with remote villages to establish water facilities and educational programs that inspire improved hygiene.

Food security

SurfAid works with communities to build nutrition gardens and provides agricultural training, cooking classes and education initiatives.

How can I get involved?

Surf, fundraise, repeat. As a surfer, swimmer or spectator, you can get involved with the Make A Wave Challenge and help raise funds for SurfAid.

Make A Wave

When September rolls around, get in the water! You can surf, swim, snorkel, paddle board – just be sure to log your daily sessions in the water and keep fundraising throughout the month.

Supported by the Z Zurich Foundation
For this year’s Make A Wave Challenge, we’re thrilled to have partnered with the Z Zurich Foundation, who is matching the first $120 raised by Australian fundraisers.

The Z Zurich Foundation works with local organisations around the world to drive positive impact in mental wellbeing, social equity, crisis response and adapting to climate change.
About the artist
With these concepts, Aley leans into a retro 90s surf brand aesthetic, drawing inspiration from Captain Good Vibes cartoons in vintage Tracks surf magazines.

'I aimed to create something energetic and expressive, and distinctly Aussie in both subject matter and tone. I'd just been on a beach holiday with some surfing friends, and was inspired by the way they playfully pop up off the waves,' she says.
