Yes, we may provide medical cover for scooter and motorbike riding, but only when you add our Motorcycle and Moped Riding Trip Extra to your base policy at an additional cost for all the days you’re riding (our overseas plans do not automatically include cover for moped or motorcycle riding).
As a general rule, regardless of the bike’s engine capacity, you must be wearing a helmet while you ride and you cannot be racing, participating in a professional capacity or doing motocross. If you’re a passenger, the person driving the bike needs to have a valid licence for riding that vehicle.
There are several terms, conditions and exclusions that apply to our Motorcycle and Moped Riding Trip Extra, which you should be aware of before purchasing our travel insurance.
